Inland Revenue is currently reinventing itself as a modern revenue organisation.  This transformation will bring about significant change to the way we operate and how we interact with our customers.  We're making the tax system simpler, more open and certain for New Zealanders to pay their taxes and receive their entitlements.  This is one of the largest transformation programmes in New Zealand's history and an ideal time for you to advance your legal career.

The newly formed Customer & Compliance Services groups (CCS) are looking for their new Team Leads from the top of the north to the south.  We have vacancies in Legal Services in Takapuna, Manukau, Wellington and Christchurch - New Zealand.

Your people are there to provide services including legal and technical advice and litigation across a variety of segments.  They work both proactively and reactively to help customers to get it right from the start.  We are looking for leaders who can help us build a team recognised for our high level of customer service, solution focus and value add.

We need strong people leaders who are passionate about leadership and helping their people develop and grow.  You will be instrumental in bringing together and building a trusted team and encouraging innovation.  As a leader you will use your legal background and experience to work with your direct reports (solicitors and technical specialists), focusing on empowering your people, developing and coaching them to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.  You'll also build excellent relationships with our customer groups and wider networks.

To succeed in these roles you will need to be an experienced people leader who is passionate about coaching and developing others.  You will need to have a relevant legal background and hold or be able to hold a practising certificate.  You will benefit from on-going leadership development and support to realise your career goals in a supportive environment.
